Where is the issue of keeping Social Security solvent being addressed in the "Petition for the Redress of Grievances?"
I've raised this question many times and I still don't see it being talked about. Perhaps it could be discussed or made a part of the grievance that deals with a Fair Tax Code.
Right now, I believe the ceiling on paying social security tax is something like $106,800. What this means is that anyone making more than this amount, does not pay social security tax on any income that exceeds $106,800.
A relatively easy fix to the social security problem would be to eliminate this ceiling on income. Social Security tax should be paid on every dollar of income no matter how much someone makes. This needs to be addressed and put on the agenda!
