yes, here we are today with a forum for people to say what they want. fb is not for that. it is to promote the website that you fail to work on.

Oh whoever said that Michael Pollok was asked to resign is wrong. No one on the board asked him to resign

The whole facilitation committee has not be asked so do not report that it is all - you have nothing to base that on. There are others who choose not to engage in all this online nonsense. Unfortunately, I am apparently a glutton for punishment so I stand up and say what I say and it appears I am alone but I am not.
The memes continue repeating ad nauseum with so little facts to back them up it can only be considered gossip.
Does anyone wonder why the donor wants anonymity? How does that reflect financial transparency?
The board members as it was prior to the addition of new board members (which was completely supported by Michael) are still listed on the site under About. When the turmoil calms down an update will be posted.
I don't make the rules, never have. Nor has Michael alone.

Perhaps no one on the board did ask Michael to resign but James did and that group and so did the donor.
But it appears we are talking to ourselves again. I'm sure that none of this has moved us any closer to the mission of the 99% Declaration and certainly wish I had been able to focus my efforts on building the website instead of this continuous nonsense.

My responses are italicized. {quote} The memes continue repeating ad nauseum with so little facts to back them up it can only be considered gossip.
And you are doing so right now.
Does anyone wonder why the donor wants anonymity? How does that reflect financial transparency?
Donors are permitted to remain anonymous. That is law. One which you have already broken in another venue. Please do not continue.
The board members as it was prior to the addition of new board members (which was completely supported by Michael) are still listed on the site under About. When the turmoil calms down an update will be posted.
The update should have been made after the board was voted in. The previous board consisted of Michael Pollok, Adeline Malone who never attended any meetings, and has had her proxy voted by Michael at every vote where he was present. Kevin Archambault, while supporting the 99% Declaration has limited time, although he does attempt to attend every called meeting. There is now a 7 or 8 member board depending whether a resignation must be voted upon.
I don't make the rules, never have. Nor has Michael alone.
You have made the rule that you will not share the work of the website with anyone you do not trust. You have just made the rule that you will not update the website to reflect the new board members instated on January 27, 2012. Looks like rule making to me. Michael has acted without any input and/or contrary to the advice and will of the Facilitation Committee. That is contrary to the spirit of the 99% Declaration, and the rules. [/quote]

I do not know what group you are speaking of. It was not the Facilitation Committee, and everyone, even people whose opinions you may disagree with, have a right to express them, and state their reasons.
You have chosen not to work on the website. No one stopped you but yourself.

Thank you for your comments, Penelope Rose. I appreciate hearing this from someone on the Board.

Not now, I'll just wait to see how things develop. I want so much for this effort to succeed, but not at the expense of honesty, integrity, and inclusion.

I do too Paula. I am hoping we can recover quickly from this, stronger and better. I wrote the following and have been applying it to some emails, as well as my status: If we do not act correctly and with integrity If we use strong arm tactics If we allow ourselves to even consider, that the ends justify the means
Then we become the very thing we are endeavoring to correct And we have no right to say we represent anyone, much less the 99 %

I have explained in the current climate of turmoil I am simply protecting the website and the data of the voters, members and candidates. Why would it make sense to make the site vulnerable to hacking - who knows who would not implode it at this time if they had access? I don't so it stays secure the way it is for now.
Again, the turmoil is the reason that the board members page has not been updated.
And who has time to work on things or the will to do it when this is what is happening? Plan was to do a build-out on NationBuilder - I posted ideas on that but have received no feedback though it did get emailed to everyone. My time at the last meeting to discuss the site was overtaken by your reading of the donor's statement Penelope so if I did so the next thing would be someone accusing me of acting unilaterally by doing something.
It doesn't really matter in this climate what I or Michael does or does not do - it all goes through the same accusation filtered glasses and comes out as something much different than was intended.

Great words Penelope - too bad that is the opposite of how some are acting - especially the influence of money.

THIS IS NUTS! I would take down all of these comments immediately from this forum.
What's the point of airing out all your dirty laundry here. If any visitors or outsiders see this kind of crap, they are going to look for the exit button real fast.
And to think I was shut out or blocked from commenting on Ninety-Nine Percent's personal FB page... YES that's Michael Pollok's personal page, but I've also been shut out of The99Declaration.org Facebook page.
I could have told you this was going to happen, in fact I tried, as long ago as the middle of December. I'm so sick of Karlie Cole's little mantra too... "Those who say it can't be done, should get out of the way of those doing it." She's been stonewalling and apologizing, and defending Michael Pollok's actions for too long. She needs to step out of the way and allow others to share responsibility for maintaining and developing the website. Too much control of anything in the hands of one person is just an invitation to disaster.
