So how does one lose weight by becoming a precinct committeeman? ANSWER: By walking your precinct and getting to know your neighbors.
Imagine... just a few hours a month. Saturday mornings. Become a precinct committeeman (or woman) an go house-to-house. neighbor-to-neighbor. Hold town hall meetings. In my community there are at least 3 public libraries. They will let you reserve a meeting room free of charge.
Don't go to people with YOUR/OUR agenda though. Don't think they will be very responsive if you try to hit them up with all the good points about the 99% Declaration and why we need a National General Assembly. Just talk to people about THEIR interests. Ask them what they are most troubled by in America. Ask them what they would like to see changed.
THEN... break out just 4 or 5 of the most important grievances (of the 20 or 21 total). Ask people if they'd agree with these things. I think you will be amazed at how much agreement you will find. Try to recruit others who seem to have a passion for changing things in this country. Walk the adjacent precincts in your community and try to get others to sign on as a Precinct Committeeman in those wards or precincts. This is how the battle will be won. It's a slow process, but it must occur everywhere across this country if we want to take back our government. By the way, don't forget to keep track of the weight you will lose. Peace.

I like this approach. Keeping your approach to what I feel are the most agreeable suggested grievances will make people more willing to continue listening and learn more about what can be done about the problems and our mission.

I like it! Walking the percents is a great way to build a base of supporters, donators, and visionaries to help with fresh ideas!
